The 2024 Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival is set to welcome in Summer with 100,000 visitors and racers at Vancouver’s False Creek this June.
This year’s event will be bigger than ever with dragon boat racing, live music, a local marketplace, food vendors, and for the first time ever, the event will conclude with a drone show.

Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival 2024
Get ready for a weekend filled with exhilarating races, captivating music performances, cultural experiences, local vendors, and family-friendly activities.
The festival will take place on June 22 and 23 at Concord Pacific Place, Creekside Park, and False Creek, situated just across the street from the Main Street Skytrain Station.
Admission is free to all attendees, so everyone can come and experience the excitement.

Almost two hundred teams, five thousand racers, and the TD Main Stage’s lineup of local musicians will kick off Vancouver’s summer season at the continent’s flagship dragon boat festival.
Watch as teams from all over the continent compete fiercely, showcasing their teamwork and paddling prowess. The exhilarating races create an atmosphere filled with anticipation and cheers from the enthusiastic crowd.
What to expect
The Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival offers a variety of experiences for everyone. The highlight of the event is, of course, the dragon boat races.
In addition to the races, the festival boasts an impressive lineup of live music performances by headlining artists. The festival also features cultural pavilions and demonstrations, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of traditions and heritage.
Guests will enjoy a local craft market in partnership with GotCraft Markets, Vancouver’s biggest waterfront patio and a variety of food trucks. As well as various kid activities designed especially for the little ones, like face painting to interactive games.
In addition to that that, this year’s event will feature the first official public drone show in Vancouver. Taking place on Saturday at approximately 9:30 PM. It marks the middle of the two-day festival.

- International Dragon Boat Races (June 22-23, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM)
- Races start at 8:00 AM on June 22 to qualify and rank for Sunday’s semi-finals and finals.
- Races end at 6:30 PM each day and a medal ceremony will take place on June 23 for race winners.
