There’s a new sweet shop in town and it’s about all those wheel cakes.
JoDeen Cafe opened in Burnaby earlier this month, and it has already created quite a buzz with locals.
Imagine a crunchy soft waffle, stuffed with sweet and savoury goodness. This new circular treat is this summer’s must have.

These Taiwanese inspired treats, has a waffle like shell and is filled with a variety of sweet flavours including bubble tea pearls, custard, red bean, and taro.
If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, they also have some savoury fillings, including cheese + corn and cheese + potato combinations.

All wheel cakes are made fresh to order, so wait times may vary. But trust us, they are worth the wait.
The price ranges from $3.25 to $3.75 depending on which one you order. If you can’t decide on just one, you can also mix two flavours of your choice.

The treats pair perfectly with an afternoon tea and coffee, and is super easy to bring along to a family picnic or day at the park.
