Free food is just one way the community is thanking the frontline workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
And there are a number of Metro Vancouver eateries offering both complimentary food and beverage options to healthcare workers and first responders during this unprecedented time.

Free Food & Drinks For FrontLine Workers
Starbucks

They’re giving frontline workers the gift of coffee across Canada and the U.S. While some Starbucks locations have closed, the company says they’ve kept ones near hospitals open and are closely monitoring the amount of people allowed inside at one time. They’re giving free hot or iced coffee to any healthcare workers, paramedics, firefighters and police officers.
A&W
The burger chain is offering free drinks (any size) to B.C.’s healthcare professionals. All A&W locations across the Lower Mainland are participating in the deal—workers just need to show their ID to claim their beverage of choice.
Nandos
The popular Portuguese chicken chain is also offering free meals amid the COVID-19 crisis. Any healthcare worker that picks up takeout at one of their locations in their uniform (or with valid ID) will receive their meal for free.

Tractor
Tractor Everyday Healthy Foods is also recognizing healthcare workers and first responders by offering them a free lunch or dinner (up to $15 value). They just have to bring along their ID or badge to claim their complimentary meal.
McDonald’s

McDonald’s Canada is giving away a free medium coffee or tea to all frontline workers and emergency services personnel. Workers can get the deal through the drive-thru at participating McDonald’s locations.
Shell
Shell Canada is offering free pre-packaged sandwiches and other select deli2go sandwiches. In addition, they’re also providing free coffee and tea of any size. The promotion is valid at participating gas stations across the country, healthcare professionals just have to show their healthcare ID.
Wild Wings Surrey & Langley

Wild Wings is offering first responders free cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory – a widely popular restaurant in the United States. To claim the dessert, first responders just need to show a piece of valid work I.D. Limit is one per guest.
