Settled in among Abbotsford’s historic downtown area, you’ll find a small, and very popular, bakery that’s likely full of its faithful followers.
Duft & Co Bakehouse is a treasure trove cafe with limited hours. They’re open from 9 am-2 pm Tuesday to Saturday, but often sell out before the afternoon rolls around.
“Better come early as food is so good they sell out before closing,” writes a Facebook reviewer. “Friendly staff and amazing baked goods.”

That includes donuts galore like: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chai Cake and Fall Spice, among many others. And they must be good, given the review from Jeremy Schollie who simply wrote, “omg the donuts.”
Oh, but if you get this early enough on a Saturday, you might be treated to a London Fog glazed croissant.
There’s also a delightful array of danishes, pies, cinnamon buns and brioche to choose from.

But if that’s not your thing, this place has some savoury items to drool over, including their Roman Focaccia topped with tomatoes, zucchini, red onions and mozzarella.

They do sandwiches, grilled cheese and even burgers for simpler tastes.
The couple who started Duft and Co. clearly know what they’re doing and they drew much of their inspiration from a six-month trip together across Europe.
Combining Cassandra Duft’s pastry chef skills with Tyler Duft’s knowledge of savoury cooking, the two are constantly creating divine treats at the Duft and Co. Bakehouse.
