What do old-timey theatres, hotels, and clubs have in common? They tend to have marquees out front. None of them, however, are likely as great as the ones found at the Penthouse Night Club in Vancouver.
“Welcome to the home of Vancouver’s naughtiest nights, where exotic dancing and strip teases are just the beginning”, their website says.
This isn’t just your run-of-the-mill strip club, though.
The Penthouse has a history that goes back all the way to 1947. It has entertained the likes of Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jr., and even Frank Sinatra.
And the history, and personality, hits you before you even walk in the door. It all starts with the well-crafted marquees.
There’s something for everyone.

To whomever writes the marquees, from one writer to another: kudos.
