Calling all foodies! A new vermicelli-focused food cart is coming to Vancouver’s West End on Wednesday, July 17th. Nami is introducing its newest member to its ever-so-popular food cart family.

And it gets better—the first 50 customers in line on opening day get a free vermicelli bowl. The food cart will be conveniently located at Burrard and Davie Street.

Nami 2.0 is the latest project for Kevin Thach, who learned first-hand from his parents’ award-winning Pho Thai Hoa 1 Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver.

The new food cart is following in the foot steps of the original, which made its debut in April. The original Nami focuses mostly on fresh-made báhn mì baguette sandwiches but the new one will be more about vermicelli bowls.

These are just a few of the delicious bowls they’re offering:

  • Classic Bowl: Vermicelli topped with pork or vegan spring roll, shredded cabbage, bean sprouts, pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber and mixed herbs with a choice of protein and dressing.
  • Banana Blossom Salad Bowl: Banana blossom, kale and spinach topped with cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, cucumber, mung bean and mixed herbs with a choice of protein and dressing.
  • Garlic Beef Vermicelli Bowl: Vermicelli topped with sautéed garlic beef in a garlic, lemongrass and onion sauce with shredded cabbage, cucumber, mixed herbs and spicy chili lime dressing.

It also includes a variety of sides, like deep-fried spring rolls, salad rolls, grilled skewers, and iced Vietnamese coffee.
