There’s nothing better than taking a dip on a hot summer’s day.
Now, imagine cooling off along a river that provides over 3 miles worth of unique swimming holes. Each swimming area comprises a petite oasis, a magical spot to relax in while the sun beams down from the sky above.
These incredible rock formations are found at the Sooke Potholes Provincial Park located on Vancouver Island. They begin at the end of Sooke River Road and end at Leechtown, which is located at the end of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail; however, even more are located just outside of the park.

According to OurBC, the potholes are, “a set of naturally formed pools and unique rock formations carved into the natural bedrock along Sooke River.”
This beautiful place is home to a plethora of cascading waterfalls, which are found along the Sooke River. People enjoy frolicking these beautiful places, and posting their memories to Instagram.
The Sooke River is also an important breeding ground for Chinook and Coho Salmon; the fish use the pristine river to spawn, and provide a colourful display when they do. Also, people practice catch and release fishing in the area.
