Set off into the wilderness to soak up all the beauty that is Lake Lovely Water. One visit here and you’ll truly understand how it got its name.
Outdoor enthusiasts definitely have to spend at least one sunny summer afternoon visiting this hidden gem and paddling through the crystal clear waters.
But accessing this stunning area is no easy feat. According to BC Parks, “access to the Lake Lovely Water trailhead is from the west side of the Squamish River. The east side of the river is First Nations land and BC Parks does not recommend using the dirt road to access the trailhead due to land use issues.”

Helicopter and boat services are available to access the lake however, check out the BC Parks website for more details on how to get to this remote destination.
It’s part of Tantalus Provincial Park and the lake is located 3,800 feet above sea level.
The park also has a hut on-site that is available for use by reservation only. Guests who stay at the ACC Vancouver Tantalus Hut have access to canoe rentals, as well as paddles and life jackets.
