The food and drink area is plentiful as well with: candy shop and cafe, a sports bar and grill, as well as the main grill restaurant. You can also rent private cabanas and tables for the ultimate experience.

Looks Familiar?

If you are thinking Big Splash looks familiar, you are right. The waterpark was once called Splashdown. Take a look back at this nostalgic time and what the park used to look like.

Because the waterpark was so close to Vancouver, it hosted various end of year school parties and summer birthdays. The long-running park had opened in 1984 and shut its doors in 2016.

Luckily in 2017, it was reopened with new owners, and improvements were put in. So Vancouverites can continue to have hours of fun at this waterpark area that’s only a short drive away.

“We are thrilled to be providing Canada’s fastest launch coaster to Playland at the Pacific National Exhibition,” said Zamperla CEO Antonio Zamperla. “Playland and Zamperla have a long partnership and their team started discussions with us over a year ago about their long-term planning and helping them grow the park’s offerings. This year we opened a Gryphon (called ‘Skybender’ at Playland), which was a huge success and allowed Playland to market the first ride of its type in the world.”

“The next project is the LSM Launch Coaster, which will be a perfect fit. It will complement the classic ‘Coaster’ and bring lots of activity to the corner of the park near the amphitheatre. We spent a lot of time talking with PNE about ride placement and ensuring that the experience will perfectly compliment the park’s current line-up of rides and attractions. In addition, it will be that attraction that takes thrills to the next level at Playland.”

Langley’s Loft Country Farms is the place to be this fall, for both kids and those young at heart.

With so much to see and do there during this time of year, there’s something for everyone.

First and foremost, visitors must hop on a wagon for a ride to and from the pumpkin patch. There are two pumpkin patches, one for regular sized pumpkins and another for smaller pumpkins.

Pony rides and horse drawn carriage rides are also available during select times.

The farm allows guests to get up close to the animals (and even feed them). It’s home to horses, pigs, sheep, cattle, goats and emus.

Get a bag of dirt to pan for gems at the LC Mining Co or simply enjoy the playground, zipline, gigantic rocking horse and the jumbo jumpy pillow.
