We’ve compiled a list of the best places to grab a drink in New Westminster, and dip your feet into what’s known as the ‘Royal City.’

The Terminal Pub

With the motto “where everyone is welcome, always,” The Terminal has a vibe that is unlike any other. It’s cozy, inviting, and has mouthwatering dishes to snack on such as truffle bacon mac n cheese, bourbon pulled pork flatbread, and more.

They also have a selection of beers on tap, ‘ale-tails’, wine, and cocktails.

Located at 115 12th Street, they’re open Monday to Thursday 11AM to midnight, Friday and Saturday 11AM to late, and Sunday 11AM to 11PM.

Steel and Oak Brewing

This New Westminster Brewery will be turning four this year!

Steel and Oak was created with New Westminster’s brewing history in mind, and their tasting room reflects that: a minimalistic style with a comforting ambience.

They currently have a selection of beer available at the tasting room, the Radler (a mix of lemonade and beer) being one of their best sellers.

Located at 1319 Third Avenue, they’re open 12PM to 8PM Sunday to Wednesday, and 12PM to 10PM Thursday to Saturday.

El Santo

El Santo is Spanish for ‘The Saint’, a masked legend in the Mexican Sport realm who never revealed his true identity. Unlike the masked hero, El Santo focuses on revealing the best of Mexican cuisine.

They have an array of classic and Mexican drinks, including flights that include a choice of three types of tequila or mezcal and a Verdict palate cleanser.

Located at 680 Columbia Street, they’re open Sunday to Thursday 11.30AM to 10PM, and Friday & Saturday 11:30AM to 11PM.

The Thirsty Duck Pub

Their slogan is ‘good friends, good times, good food’, and that hasn’t failed them. The Thirsty Duck prides themselves on being the friendliest pub in all of New Westminster, with a neighbourly feel and classic pub comfort food.
